Good Faith Estimate

Your right to know what therapy will cost

Under the federal No Surprises Act, you have the right to a written estimate of your costs before you start care. Here is how that works, in plain language.

You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate

If you don't have insurance, or you choose not to use it, federal law gives you the right to a written Good Faith Estimate of what your care at True You Therapy and Wellness is expected to cost.

The estimate covers the expected charges for your therapy sessions and any related services, based on the frequency and length of care you and your therapist plan together.

When you'll receive it

  • You can ask for a Good Faith Estimate at any time, before you schedule anything.
  • When you schedule a session at least 3 business days ahead, we'll provide your estimate in writing within 1 business day.
  • When you schedule at least 10 business days ahead, we'll provide it within 3 business days.

Just ask your therapist or contact our office. There's no charge for an estimate, and asking for one never obligates you to schedule.

If your bill comes in higher

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your estimate and your bill.
