I know how tough it can be to reach out for support, whether you’re navigating a transition, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or feeling overwhelmed by the past. I aim to create a space where you can feel seen, supported, and gently challenged. Therapy with me is collaborative and curious. We’ll explore what’s working, what’s not, and what might be possible with some fresh perspective and care.
I believe every client has the potential and ability to change their lives for the better. I use a client-centered, strengths-based approach in which you, the client, are the expert in your own life: your strengths, your defining life events, your identity, your culture. My role is to be a supporter and collaborator in the process of positive change, working with you to break patterns, improve relationships, and better understand yourself and your needs. I work from a trauma-informed lens and draw from a range of models, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and family systems theory. I aim to meet each client with curiosity, compassion, and the belief that lasting change grows from safety and connection.
My journey to becoming a therapist began in my teen years. Coming from a background where mental health was stigmatized, I often found myself trying to make sense of big emotions and complex family dynamics without a roadmap. Over time, I discovered the healing power of being deeply heard and I wanted to offer that to others. I’ve always been drawn to people’s stories and the ways we carry, hide, or reshape them to survive. Becoming a therapist felt like a natural extension of that pull toward empathy, growth, and healing.
Outside of therapy, I recharge by spending time in nature, visiting art museums, and chasing live music around town. I’m a firm believer in finding the small joys that help us feel grounded.
I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy from Touro University Worldwide. My clinical experience includes working with individuals and families across a range of concerns, including anxiety, relationship distress, family conflict, trauma, identity exploration, and life transitions. I have a special interest in intergenerational dynamics, attachment, and working with LGBTQ+ clients.
I am currently a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate under supervision of Meagan Sheehy, LPC and LMFT.
