My Approach

How I Work in the
Therapy Room

We are all born into circumstances beyond our control, and many of us do not get what we need in the crucial years of development. We find beautifully creative ways to adapt in service of our survival, only to become unconsciously stuck in rigid postures and patterns that keep us defended, reactive, and deeply unsatisfied as we move through the ever-changing conditions of our lives. In our work together, I can help you to increase your awareness of these patterns, review the scripts you've been given, and increase your capacity for agency and choice as you learn to listen more deeply to your own voice.

I use an integrated multicultural, anti-oppression, feminist, and trauma-informed approach. I enjoy working with neurodivergent and LGBTQIA2S+ folks, as well as couples who are working to liberate themselves from patriarchal roles and relationship patterns. I am committed to ongoing anti-racism and anti-oppression work, and bring a complex understanding of my own intersections of privilege and oppression. In our work together, I will help you to honor your body as a historical record keeper, a deep source of wisdom, and a vessel for transcendence.

Modalities I Use:

A Bit About Me

Prior to becoming a therapist, I studied Global Anthropology, and those studies of culture and the human experience continue to inform my worldview and my understanding of human nature. I also draw personally from various sources of wisdom and creativity, including astrology, Quantum theory, art and poetry, ancestry, breath and movement, plant medicine, and the Chakra system. I look forward to supporting you in living a life of meaning.
