Privacy Policy

Your privacy, in plain language

No legal maze here. This page explains what information we collect through this website, what we do with it, and what we never do with it.

The short version

We collect only what you choose to share with us, we use it only to respond to you and coordinate care, and we never sell it. Ever.

What we collect

If you fill out our contact form, we receive the details you enter: your name, email, phone number if you include it, and your message.

Like most websites, our hosting provider also keeps basic technical logs, such as the pages visited and the browser used. These logs help keep the site secure and are not used to identify you.

How we use your information

We use your contact details for one thing: getting back to you. That might be answering a question, scheduling a consultation, or connecting you with a therapist.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing.

Photos and maps on this site

Some photos on this site are stock images of models, not actual clients. Photos of our therapists are the real deal.

Our contact page includes an embedded Google map to help you find our office. Like any Google embed, it may set cookies or receive standard technical data from your browser. If you'd rather not load it, you can look up our address directly in your own maps app.

Scheduling and the client portal

Appointment scheduling and the client portal are provided by SimplePractice, a secure, HIPAA-compliant practice management platform. Information you enter there is covered by SimplePractice's privacy policy and our Notice of Privacy Practices.

A note about email

Standard email is not a fully secure channel. Please don't include detailed health information in the contact form or in email. Save those details for your sessions or the secure client portal.

Your therapy records

If you become a client, your health information is protected under HIPAA. You will receive our Notice of Privacy Practices, which explains your rights and how your records are protected, when you begin care.

One thing this website is not

Reading this site, or sending us a message through it, does not create a therapist-client relationship. The content here is for general information only. It isn't therapy, diagnosis, or a substitute for working with a qualified provider.

If you're in crisis, don't wait on a form or an email. Call or text 988, or call 911. More options are on our crisis resources page.

We are happy to talk through any of this. Email us at info@trueyoutherapyandwellness.com or call (503) 610-6452.
