Hi, I’m Cameron! I am here to support you in growing deep roots of meaning, authenticity, and self-love that can withstand life’s most difficult challenges.

Sometimes life can be incredibly difficult, painful and confusing, leaving us feeling distant from ourselves, and others. Whether you are experiencing overwhelming anxiety, depression, or anger, trauma responses, relationship conflicts, life transitions, or ADHD, I am here to meet you where you are, and help you navigate your emotions in a way that makes sense to you. My practice is client-centered, and built on the belief that every individual has the potential to heal, grow, and thrive when they have the necessary tools and support to do so.

I am here to provide an empathetic, trauma-informed, and non-judgmental space that is conducive to exploration and healing. While I utilize parts of several theoretical frameworks (IFS, PCT, CBT, ACT, DBT, etc.), I work with my clients to develop a uniquely tailored and collaborative approach that emphasizes their individual needs, goals, and strengths.

Beyond anything else, this process is about feeling comfortable with your therapist, and that is where my focus lies. You can expect my full attention, intention, and engagement at every step of this process. I'm here to support you and believe in your ability to grow. Seeking counseling is exceptionally brave, and I hope to be alongside you in your journey.

A little more personal:

As a child with undiagnosed ADHD, I was often confused with what was going on inside my head and body. Constantly being told by teachers, coaches, and others that I just needed to “try harder”, “care more”, and “focus better” felt me feeling alienated, sad, and misunderstood. I often felt lost, disconnected both from who I was, and the world around me. Thankfully, there were a few people in my corner that helped me to feel truly seen and understood, which allowed me to hold acceptance for who I was, and what I struggled with. Not only were these empathetic relationships core to learning how to manage my symptoms in a way that actually worked for me, but they also offered a deeper sense of self-love, and appreciation.

When we feel truly heard, understood, and cared for by another human being, we feel safe. This feeling of safety, free from judgment and threats to our self-worth, allows the truly authentic versions of ourselves to come to the surface. We feel calm, clear, confident, curious, creative, caring, courageous, and connected. It is a holistic and grounding experience that allows us to direct our lives in a way that is supportive of who we are, what we want, and those around us.

Because of how important these empathetic relationships were in my development of a positive sense of self, I wanted to find a way to offer them to others. So I began gravitating towards helping roles. I spent the better of 15 years working as a behavioral management specialist, camp counselor, homeschool teacher, preschool teacher, and soccer coach while earning a BS in Psychology, and MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Western States. Nowadays, I work mostly with adults across a wide range of issues, but I am as passionate and excited as ever by the prospect of helping you explore and love the person you are.
