You're feeling overwhelmed. You're carrying generational trauma. Your emotional reactions cause an impact. Your defenses feel high. Stress feels constant and you are seeking to slow down and cope.
I often work with clients who have experiences with complex trauma (CPTSD). I support you in understanding your reactions, and exploring coping strategies that feel more supportive to you now and in the future. Together, we can bring curiosity towards parts of you, understand how trauma can have an impact, and explore new ways to build more capacity for ease, laughter and connection.
I focus on trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, PTSD, burnout, dysfunctional relationship patterns, identity, self-worth and body-image.
My style is relational, showing up to collaboratively create a connection that is full of trust and authenticity. I bring humor and radical compassion. My approach is strength-based, knowing that you inherently hold wisdom and the capacity for growth and healing. I am client-centered, treating you with respect, unconditional positive regard and exploring your values, culture and goals.
I often work with those who identify as Latinx, BIPOC, multicultural and/or Queer.
My approaches are drawn from Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, Polyvagal Theory, Social Justice Frameworks and Somatic (Body Based) Practices.
I'm from Seattle, WA. In my free time I enjoy being in community with friends, reading, being a foodie and journaling.
I achieved a Masters of Social Work from Portland State University. As well as a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from Western Washington University.
I have worked in non-profits since 2018 providing trauma-informed care with Latine youth and houseless young adults. Including case management, peer support services and LGBTQ+ affirming mental health services.
