Whether you're rebuilding trust, stuck in the same argument, or just feeling far apart, our couples therapists help you find your way back to each other.
Most couples wait years longer than they should to ask for help. By the time you're searching for marriage counseling, you've probably already tried to fix things on your own, and the same fight keeps coming back around. That doesn't mean your relationship is broken. It usually means the two of you are caught in a pattern neither of you chose.
Our couples therapists work with married partners, long-term couples, newer relationships, and partners who aren't sure what comes next. Some couples come to repair after a rupture. Others want to communicate better, navigate a big decision, or reconnect after years of running on parallel tracks. And repairing the relationship isn't the only option. Some couples come in to decide whether to stay together, or to end things with care. Wherever you're starting from, you'll get real structure and a therapist who works with both of you, not a referee.
Our couples therapists are trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method, two of the most researched approaches to couples work. In practice, that means we don't take sides and we don't referee. We help you both see the cycle you're caught in, understand what's underneath it, and practice new ways of reaching for each other, in session and at home.
Couples sessions are $200 per hour. You can meet in person in Portland, Milwaukie, Bend, or Redmond, or by secure telehealth from anywhere in Oregon.

Couples work usually starts with both partners in the room, or on the screen. Depending on your therapist's approach, some sessions may involve meeting with each partner individually. Your therapist will map out how your work will be structured in your first session, so nothing comes as a surprise.
Yes. Secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions are available to couples anywhere in Oregon, as long as both partners are located in Oregon at the time of the session.
You can start on your own. Working individually on relationship patterns is one of the most common ways people begin, and several of our therapists work with individuals on exactly that. If your partner becomes open to joining later, we can talk about what that transition looks like.
Start with a relaxed 20 to 30 minute video consultation. You'll both get a feel for the therapist, ask anything you want, and decide from there.
